From the factory, the Beneteau 37 comes with two batteris, which I'm sure you all already know and the previous owner said that hw was planning on adding more but didn't get around to it. So, is it worth adding more batteries? Also, if I should add more, where can I put them?

You can add them under seats, in the aft storage lockers, or sometimes in custom battery boxes on the cockpit floor. but you know they have to be secure, ventilated, and easy to access for maintenance, two batteries might be enough but if you're running lots of gear or want more peace of mind, adding more is worth it.

wow there, hold on... before you just add more, sit down and figure out what electrical gear you actually run when you're anchored or sailing (fridge, lights, autopilot, charging devices, inverter for coffee/microwave, etc.) and for how long.
This "energy audit" will tell you exactly how many amp hours you realistically need and if two batteries are truly falling short. You might be surprised!
