Bilge layout drawings

Been dealing with clogged drainage holes in the molded underfloor bilge areas of my Beneteau Oceanis 40. Does anyone out here know if there are layout drawings available for the bilge design on this model? I've spent hours trying to clear the blockage with a pressure washer, screwdrivers and a coat hanger but no luck so far. Im starting to think it might be a manufacturing issue although there hasn't really been any water buildup or flooding in these sections before.

If you haven't had water buildup before, it's strange that they'd suddenly clog. Could something have shifted or broken down internally?

I get you. Have you tried a wet vac with a tight seal? Sometimes it helps pull out junk if pressure can't do anything.

That sounds annoying! Finding factory bilge layout drawings for the Oceanis 40 can be tough, even with dealer help. Those limber holes can be tricky from the start.

Have you checked the path with a long tube or camera? Try working from both sides or tilting the boat to move any junk. If you hit a dead end, think about carefully drilling a new hole, but only if you know what's underneath.

Have you tried to reach out to Beneteau directly? You could also post in a couple of owner groups in your area. I mean they sometimes have factory diagrams floating around and there might also be some people there who can help you face to face.

I've only had my Sense 50 for 5 months; however, I had bilge issues that I thought were much worse than they turned out to be. My boat is 13 years old, and one of the previous owners had big problems (apparently) with the A/C system and the chill-water loop started leaking... so the knuckle-head sealed off part of the bilge by intentionally plugging the holes so that the leaking water was forced to stay in a limited section of the strengthening lattice.
Check for knuckle-head moves like this, use a stepped bit on a right-angle drill to drill out the plugged designed weep holes and you'll be (partially) back in business.
